Fall is such a beautiful time of year. We finally get a break from the summer heat, everything turns pumpkin spice and we can break out all the cozy sweaters and scarves we’ve been longing for since spring. From the crisp air, to rich beautiful colors, to the start of the holiday season, it’s one of my favorite times of year.

One of my favorite Oh She Glows recipes to enjoy for a quick meal is the Velvety Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. I made this all summer long, pretending fall had already arrived, but I’m really excited to drink it while I watch the leaves turn. It’s rich, healthy, and tastes like the most indulgent fall treat.
1 cup almond, coconut or hemp milk
2 Tbs gluten free rolled oats
1/2 cup canned pure pumpkin
1/2 to 1 tsp blackstrap molasses, to taste
1/2 large banana, frozen
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp nutmeg
4-5 ice cubes
1 Tbs pure organic maple syrup
1. In a high-speed blender, combine the milk, oats, pumpkin, molasses, banana, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Blend on high speed until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend.
2. Add the maple syrup and blend briefly to combine.
